If you are a lucky owner of a three-dimensional printer you can make your own car!
It can be not just a simple car, but a replica of one of the most famous car brands. This statement is confirmed by the representatives of Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
They demonstrated the replica of a sport car Shelby Cobra (1965) at the North American International Auto Show 2015 in Detroit.
But the most important thing is that the entire production process, from conceptual design to manufacturing of the vehicle, took only six weeks.
The appearance of the Shelby Cobra car does not differ from its original. The only exception is installed digital display on the dashboard.
The structure of the printed parts includes all elements of the carcass, frame, passenger compartment and decorative elements.
